To sign up to be a panelist, you are required to pre-register for the convention as a panelist. Select the "Panelist" option in Step 2 - Find the right membership for you, on the convention's online registration form. You will be given the maximum panelist discount to bring your total membership price to $30.
After your registration has been received and processed, you will receive a confirmation with instructions on how to register for your panels. If you do not receive this information in the email, please contact the Programming Department at panelist@tcon.ca with your information.
You can also claim the panelist discount by sending us your membership form by postal mail, labeled "PANELIST" at the top, and paying the $30 membership amount
NOTE: If mailing in your membership form (or if you are already pre-registered for Polaris), e-mail panelist@tcon.ca with your name as it appears on your membership, and you will be sent the link to the Panelist Signup Form once your membership has been verified by our pre-registration department.
REMINDER: If you have already pre-registered without using the panelist discount, we are unable to refund the difference between the membership rates. If you want the discount, you can purchase a new membership at the panelist rate, and transfer your existing membership to someone else.
Things to remember:
- All panelists MUST be pre-registered for the convention before they can sign up for panels.
- There is a $10 discount per panel that you do. Sign up for at least three panels to receive the maximum discount.
- Panelists are limited to a maximum of six panels.
- All panelists will be required to pay a minimum of $30 (a Terra membership at the pre-registration discounted price of $60, less the maximum panelist discount of $30) for their membership, in advance. If assigned fewer than three panels, you will be charged any outstanding amount when picking up your Panelist Package at the convention ($10 per panel fewer than three - e.g. if you are only registered for one panel, you will need to pay an additional $20).
