About the Geek-Offs
The Geek-Offs are Polaris' answer to the uberquestion: who is the Geek to beat? We take several universes of Trivia, take their best and brightest, and then pit them against each other in a not yet, quite so bloody, battle royale. All for bragging rights and the certification approved by the chairs that we have found the Geek-Off Champion for the year.
How Do I Participate?
With much demand, and few slots we operate on a first come first serve basis. First people to come, first people to step forth like brave lemmings and sit before the room, and then the top few available for Sunday's finale. The judges do reserve the right, based on demand for spots, to decline people from competing in all Geek-Offs to make it to the Championships.
How Do I Sign-Up To Help With the Geek-Offs?
The Geek-Offs are written, organized and run by a group of volunteers who attend the convention. They recruit in person at the convention, or via TCON News for positions when available.
What Categories Can I Expect?
The currently anticipated line up for the 2010 Geek-Off's are:
- Battlestar Galactica/Caprica
- Farscape
- Stargate
- Whedonverse (Angel, Buffy, Firefly, and Dollhouse)
- Whoniverse

The past Geek-Off Categories are available as questions in the Championship round. They are:
