Weapons Policy

Thank you for reading our convention's weapons policy. Anyone carrying any weapons or replica weapons, including swords, knives, batleths, or anything meant to represent a weapon must please bring their item to the Security Office for inspection, and for a review of our full weapons policy. Any club or organization wishing to set up a display of weapons or replicas must also contact the Security Office. Note that masquerade contestants are exempt from certain parts of our policy while participating in the masquerade.

Dealers selling weapons or replica weapons are required to bag those weapons upon sale and inform the purchaser that they must be immediately transported outside the convention area, to their hotel room or vehicle.

The Polaris weapons policy is designed to allow everyone to enjoy the convention safely. Our full weapons policy, and a list of federally prohibited items, are available for public review in the Security Office. Nothing that is restricted or a prohibited item, as stated in the Criminal Code of Canada, will be permitted in Convention space.
