1. What do discounts apply to?
Discounts can only apply to:
A. the person who is entitled to the discount for their services. Therefore, a panelist or volunteer discount cannot be transferred to a family member, friend or another individual.
B. a Terra level membership. While different level memberships can be purchased (ie. Galaxy, Venus), the discount is off the Terra portion only.
C. the year for which the discount was explicitly issued. Polaris volunteer or panelist discounts cannot be kept, held over, or transferred in any way, to be applied to a future year's membership.
2. What value do discounts have?
A. The discount has no cash value. The holder of the discount cannot make a claim for a refund if they have already paid for a membership in full and now qualify for a discount or find a volunteer discount coupon after registering.
3. How is the discount applied?
A. The discount is only applicable if used by the Polaris pre-registration deadline of June 3rd, 2011. After this time, Polaris does not have to honour the discount.
4. How do I show I am eligible for a discount?
A. Proof of eligibility of discount is required by entering a valid volunteer or panelist discount code.
5. What happens if I am not eligible for a discount after I've applied for the discount?
If a discount is applied to a TCON membership and the person fails to meet the eligibility
requirements:
A. Panelist: will be required to pay (no cheques) up to a maximum of the difference between the discounted membership paid and the pre-registration membership price before they will receive their membership. The discounted membership cannot be transferred to the following year, or another person. If the difference is not paid, the membership is void.
B. Volunteers: will be required to pay (no cheques) up to a maximum the difference between the discounted membership paid and the pre-registration membership price before they will receive their membership. The discounted membership cannot be transferred to the following year, or another person. If the difference is not paid, the membership is void.
C. Those who falsely claim discounts: will be required to pay (no cheques) up to a maximum the difference between the discounted membership paid and the AT THE DOOR membership price before they will receive their membership. The discounted membership cannot be transferred to the following year, or another person. If the difference is not paid, the membership is void.
D. What will happen if I abuse the discount system? TCON Promotional Society reserves the right to void any membership in the case of repeated attempts to abuse the discount policies.
6. How long is this policy in effect?
A. TCON Promotional Society reserves the right to cancel or change the discount policies at any time without notice.
