Actor Photo Sessions are available to anyone having a Galaxy, Mercury, Venus, Terra, Mars or Neptune Membership. Those with memberships that permit only daily access to Polaris 24 (ie. Neptune Saturday or Neptune Sunday) can only attend those sessions scheduled on the day they are entitled to attend Polaris 24. No other memberships (Basic, Trial, Jupiter) include access to the Actor Photo Sessions
Our Actor Photo Sessions generally take place both Saturday and Sunday. They can start as early as 9 a.m. and, while normally they are over by 6 p.m., we have had actors miss flights, and, accordingly, we’ve reschedule sessions for late Saturday night. All Actors are contracted for a minimum of one Photo Session, which is one hour in length. However, it is important to note that if an actor’s line dissipates during the session, they are free to leave the session if, after fifteen minutes, there is no one else in line. Accordingly, we suggest you line up early to ensure you get the Photos you want.
Actor Photo Sessions are the ONLY opportunity for our members to have their photo taken with our Actor guests. After the successes of the past years, we are offering completely digital photographs. At present, we anticipate following the same plan as last year: All photos will be printed on site, and you will be required to pick up your photos. We will NOT be mailing out any photos. A reminder, we do not allow any autographs during the Actor Photo Sessions. Also, please be advised that photo pickup times are NOT guaranteed at anytime during the weekend. We do our best to develop the photos as quickly as possible but many circumstances can occur beyond our control to delay pickup times. We appreciate your understanding of this particular policy.
A reminder, we do not permit people to use their own cameras during our Actor Photo Sessions. Given the popularity of the Sessions, we cannot allow people to spend time explaining how their camera works, etc. In addition, since most Actor Guest contracts call for them to be paid a portion of each photo taken, we are required to charge for each photo taken and processed.
Please note that we anticipate that each photo with an Actor will cost $40. Payment can be made by cash, debit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). We are permitting a maximum number of four people per photo with a guest. After that, a premium will be applied per person in the photo. This, again, is designed to ensure the actors get their fair share for each photo taken as many actors have expressed frustration in being presented with 20 copies of the same photo, but only being paid for one shot.
We can understand that some of these policies may seem frustrating. However, given that the average cost of a photo at some other events is still significantly higher than our rates, we hope you can understand that, even with these rules in place, we offer the best value in Photo Sessions.
