Matthew LeDrew's Biography
Returning to Polaris this year is Matthew LeDrew, author of the Black Womb series from Engen Books.

Matthew studied Journalism at College of the North Atlantic in Stephenville, Newfoundland, and has worked with Transcontinental Publishing as well as student-youth magazine The Troubador.

He has written five novels for Engen Books: "Black Womb", "Transformations in Pain", "Smoke and Mirrors", "Roulette", and "Ghosts of the Past". He started his production company, Engen Books, in late 2007 as a way of publishing authors and material that is typically overlooked by the Canadian mass market. Under his guidance, Engen Books has produced two other volumes: "Compendium" (Ellen Curtis) and the anthology series "Sci-Fi from the Rock".

Since 2007 he has travelled all over Canada promoting his work as well as teaching seminars on writing and publishing.

His hobbies include writing, drawing and playing chess.
